Safeguarding policy

Pharmacy teams have a duty to act if someone may be at risk of harm. This page explains our approach.

These pages are written for a UK private prescription delivery service. They are not legal advice. Complete the company, ICO, and contact details in the legal settings and have a healthcare solicitor and Data Protection Officer sign them off before go-live.

1. Age limit

This service is for adults aged 18 or over. We collect date of birth and may refuse an account or order if we believe the user is under that age. We do not offer a paediatric prescribing or parental-consent pathway on this website.

2. Adults at risk

If a pharmacist or staff member is concerned that a patient may be at risk of abuse, neglect, coercion, or unsafe medicine use, they will follow pharmacy safeguarding procedures. That can include refusing supply, speaking to the patient, contacting the prescriber, or referring to local authority adult safeguarding or the police.

3. What you can do

If you are worried about yourself or someone else using this service, contact us via Contact and mark it as urgent. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

4. Records

Safeguarding notes are kept securely and shared only with people who need to know, in line with the Privacy notice and professional duties.
